    Default Scratch Art Lily

After viewing and being inspired by Dan Berg's work, this image was an attempt to try and recreate the "look" of scratch art within CS5. The image is a blend of a Fractalius texture and the original with the Nik "film grain" filter used to add a bit more texture.

Gorgeous image, Richard. This does remind me of Berg's work. Wonderfully presented!

Excellent work Richard, I really like the subtle effect of the filter and the black BG really makes this special. Lovely!!

Hi Richard, Actually I looked at Berg's work and I feel this has it's own fine qualities separate from his.
Beautiful light with the detail pulled out very delicately. Good placement with the black backround making the subject pop. Finally, just enough stem to form an anchor point...nicely done...

Very nice, Richard. I checked out Berg's work, and I have to say this does bear a strong resemblance. I love the colors and fine detail in the flower. I wonder if a little more room on the left might be good? Nice work.

Richard, good for you for researching this style. You did a very nice job with this. Excellent composition, color, and texture. Adding the extra texture was a good idea and helped give the image a look of scratch art. Sweet!

Beautiful work, Richard. Great interpretation of Berg's work. Love the colors on the flower and the effect of the filters. TFS.

Richard, sorry for the lateness of the post but I really like this. I looked at Berg's work and I definitely like the scratch art with color more than black and white images. This is beautiful in all it's aspects, scratch art or not.
