    Harold,

    I like the middle BG (the moss, branches). The owl is stellar - the gaze. The far BG is bright and a bit distracting but the owls gaze is so powerful it doesn't bother me much. I would suggest cropping the left out and getting the owl out of the center. I like the moss/branches on the right and would not crop that. Left crop also gets rid of some of the bright BG.

    Color saturation appears high but I like it. Others may not. Also remove the redeye by selecting the eye and using a hue/saturation adjustment desaturate it.

    Great find and details. I would put him a bit out of the center and agree with Robert regarding red-eye removal.

    because of the stare i thought centering the bird would be ok in this case. i'll give the off center crop a try. thanks guys.
