    Here goes a nother one of him on the grass.

    Just like the pose and colors. I croped the photo and gave it some more light.

    I like the pose and bird placement in frame Might give it another pass of usm and clone the white in the upper right Elegant image

    ............... Commenting wise do it with out writing Just to yourself Finding flows in other will improve your own images When you are comfortable start writing comments Firs the obvious then more detail

    Good morning Weasel. Very nice capture of this beautiful species and as Alfred had already mentioned good composition and I like the slight head turn towad the camera. I agree about cloning out the upper right hand corner. The F stop you chose was good as it blurs out the BG and shows of the duck well. Lovely capture and thanks for sharing.

    Thanks for your comments. Al I´m not quete shore what USM might be, Not to good with all these shortned words. but i have cloned it out now and do like it more..

    Hi Weasel,

    USM is the "Unsharp Mask", one filter to sharpen the image a little bit more.

    I really like the version with the pure green background, that's definitely an improvement! The whites above the eye seem to be a little too hot for my taste, maybe you can check the exposure/raw if you have more detail there in the original file?

    The re-post has a much cleaner look to it. I notice you also cloned out a few elements near the bottom edge of the frame to further the cleaning up - good job. Hot near the eye and near the tail.
