Wanted to see how you felt about the headless bird. Cloned out a couple of birds at the bottom.

The action is spectacular. I am a bit disturbed by the missing head. Overall, it seams a bit bright and I'd add some canvas on the top so the headless bird's wing isn't so crowded at the edge.

I think the shot is excellent as is. Yes, having the head on that bird would certainly make it more excellenter, but just because it could be better does not make this one poor.

Dawn, thanks for the comments. I was going to add canvas and forgot. It is a bit darker on my monitor but I agree it could be a little darker.

hey Roy, the wings on the headless bird are gorgeous. and the action is great. I love the shot, but if it were mine I would be wishing for a head on that bird too. Really loving seeing the pics you got from your AM Texas workshop - neat to compare the birds we got with the ones you did!

Headlessness doesn't bother me at all - the beautiful (& beautifully sharp) wings & action more than make up with for it. Love the BG, but agree with the need for the extra canvas on top.

I agree with all the other commenters - great action but the missing head isn't my first choice. More room on top would also be great to take this up another notch. Wonderful ss here - you did a great job of freezing the action!
