The backlit tail is the bomb. The fact that the bird's head is sort of lost left me confused for a minute when I first viewed the image.
I think that opening up some detail on the right side of the bird's head would improve that situation (as might some flash...)

agree with Artie...that backlit spread tail is quite stunning....you never get to see the fanned tail on a KF. loved the light and the mood because of that. Nice comp. as well.
Really like the light filtering through the tail feathers.
You've really got something there with the light on the tailfeathers, but indeed, as Artie said, the head is a bit hard to pick out.

Artie I have lightened the dark side of the body and face in this repost, but I think I will have to rework from RAW to effectively extract more detail
