    Default Cranes at sunrise

This was taken last month at one of the first windows on the far side of the farm loop at Bosque. It was at the beginning of a beautiful sunrise with (little) red light reflected from the clouds. 1DM4 800mm/5.6 2000 ISO Av +1 1/3 @ 1/15 5.6 . Very little cropping. Would appreciate all comments and suggestions.

Great composition. You really worked your camera to get this one out! 2000ISO & 1/15 SS! If there had been more light you could have gotten a sharper image. Good HA on all birds, I like the 'motif' of the three birds looking in one direction and I think the fact that the middle bird is looking in the opposite direction than the other 3 birds adds to the image.
    Love the pink-ish water.

Beautiful shot. Alvan said what I wanted to....well done. A little sharpening of the cranes will help IMO.

Hi Richard, Though the pink light is sweet, I would try to get at least the cranes more neutral. I do like the image design but wish that the second bird (from right to left) were looking a bit more toward us. The position of the two birds on our left is perfect.

This has a great ethereal feel to it Richard, real nice light. Nice composition, agree on a bit more sharpness, and some more contrast to birds to make it an even stronger image.
    Nicely done!

The low contrast nature of this image makes it work.

Thanks to everyone for the comments and suggestions. Am going to work on the image more and I now have a better idea of where to start. Will try some selective sharpening and making the cranes more neutral.
