Hi Ian - good ha and nice detail in the eye.
For my personal tastes - just a little too centered in the frame, the branch coming out of the upper back area is a little distracting.
On my screen looks a tad light - but could just be my screen.

    Keep em coming :)

beautiful bird Ian! and I love the tree that you caught him in. Would love to see the colors a little stronger.

Nice Portrait. The only thing that's a little distracting is that leaf to the right of his head.

I played with it a bit to try and strengthen the colors and get rid of some offending twigs. I'm not sure it's improved. Thoughts?

Hi Ian, I think I see a little halo-ing on the branches and bird (this can come from pushing the clarity slider, I don't if it was used or it is just masking opacity is a little thin), and there is a slight ghost from where the branch on the right of him was.

Just the masks need touching up.

Beautiful portrait, Ian. I agree the OP is a bit light. The repost is better, but I do see a halo and is it still a bit light? It may be me. Very sharp and good detail.

I think the repost will look great once halo-ing is fixed. Perhaps shift the bird a bit further to the left of the picture would help the composition?
