An endearing little bird that will often follow closely behind bush-walkers to bounce on disturbed insects.

Canon EOS 3, Canon 100-300F5.6L, ISO 100, natural light with fill flash, 1/125 F11, Hide on raised platform - 8 feet, Tripod.

A really nice image. Good exposure and detail of a sweet looking bird. She looks almost too big for the nest!!

Like the image alot John, the bird was very tame for you to get this close, or did you use a blind?

    Either way very nice.

Very nice pose and details. I hope the bird was not disturbed. Around here they easily leave their nests when approached.

Yes Robert, I always use a blind with nesting birds , introducing it over several days before commencing photo sessions.

Yes as mentioned to Robert I always photograph nesting birds from a blind. I have photographed nesting birds now for over 20 years and written several articles on the Do's and Dont's to avoid any mishap to the nesting site.
