    Nice image with nice background - I do wonder if the photo could have been taken at a lower ISO - say 400 - and still have a fast shutter speed for the BIF. At 1/5000 you had posssibly some give in he SS department.

    The tip of the bill is interesting - very translucent. Great HA and wing position. Nice job.

    Well done Vivaldo. Very nice bg for this image. Good sharpness and light. Nice to have the ability to routinely use that high of an iso without worry, D3s is probably cleaner @1250 than most any other @400

    A beautiful bird, well captured. Did you do any noise reduction? i read the comments about the D3s great high iso ability but it looks like the body of the bird has an almost painterly effect.

    Thanks for all comments it's apprecaited Gavin the D3s is excellent in the noise department but it can produce a bit of noise in the shadow area's. I underexposed this image by mistake, should have gone with +0.7EV, hence the noise in the shadows. I selectively used NR in the shadow area, maybe applied more then I needed too
