Cypress trees and knees. The base image was an HDR with Pixel Bender and Topaz Adjust to enhance color etc.

Judy, The HDR gave nice detail to the snow AND shadowed trunks. Interesting combo of Cypress and snow... unusual I guess. The color of water and sky adds to the cold look. I'm really enjoying your use of PB.

Judy, I showed this image to a few of the clients on Artie's IPT and they loved it! The shadows and the snow add a lot to the image. Well done.

Very lovely work, Judy! Looks like it could be a illustration for a book or something. I love the colors and the light coming in through the trees. Well done!

Judy. I'm going to get on the bandwagon! Excellent base image, really like the depth supplied by the shadows, and one of the finest implementations of pixel bender I have seen. regards~Bill

Pixelbender did a great job on this. This reminds me of peter and the wolf. I *may tone down the amount of distortion going on the stumps in the foreground, by about 50% b/c it is a little busy. and competes a little adversely vs/ the BG.

The first time I saw pixelbender in use was here on this youtube video:

I do like your take on its implementation.

This is outstanding, Judy. Great base image with light and shadow on the snow. The pixel bender effect is just fantastic. Nicely done.

    Judy,

Really well done... I agree with Chris that it looks like a book illustration. I'm left waiting for some mystical creature to pop out from behind the trees.

Thanks so much everyone! I've been out of town or I would have responded sooner. I must say this is one of my favorite "straight" Pixel Bender images.

Very nice Judy, ditto all the above plus I love how the water anchors the image in the ULC. The shadows on the snow lead your eye there, which works really well. Nice one!

Wow, thanks Denise! I usually think PB is a bit strong for my taste but I liked it pretty much as rendered in this one with very little toning down.

That looks great Judy! Nice combination of HDR, PB & Topaz. It does look like a book illustration as mentioned. The trees and the shadows on the snow really came out well.
    Well done!
