Harshad, nice message and sending it right back at you!
Now to the cheetah. Why did you crop vertically? I don't feel that the composition is strengthened by this crop in this situation as it accentuates the slope in the background which makes me feel (maybe incorrectly) that the horizon is sloping. Also, there isn't anything in the background to add to the cheetah. But I'm sure you have a good reason for doing this crop.Certainly, if it was for a stock library or for a publication, then it would make perfect sense to leave room for print.
I love the raised paw and the bright eyes and look. DOF is also quite appealing.
Congrats on the sale Harshad! This guy really has an attitude! Happy Valentines to all.
I assume Harshad you shot this portrait rather than landscape and then crop to portrait.
I like the look and raised paw too, but I find the crop just not quite working for me, a little too elongated. It also looks a little bright, what time of day was it taken Harshad? Easily resolved and may give a bit more punch in the process too. Was there a reason why you shot at f/4, as based on the SS I would have certainly looked at f/5.6 or even 7.1 to give a bit more DOF to the Cheetah, as the BG would not have really suffered overall being so far back. just a thought my friend.

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
Yes Sir , This image was pre-designed in my mind before shooting as I was knowing requirement of client
NP , Crop is always personal choice
Nearly 11 Am , here is re post with 1/3rd stop under exposure done in PS
She was on move and we were also moving along with her, never wanted to loose SS
Harshad as ever, very grateful for the additional info, very helpful indeed Sir.
Good point about SS, however I still think f/5.6 would have given you a tad more edge, but no seat.
I think the repost is better and certainly conveys the time of day

Excellent re-post Steve , You are master of PS![]()
Harshad, apologies.
I meant to delete my attached repost before posting, as yours was I felt, more authentic, but then clicked the button, too late Sir.![]()

Harshad,
I would have preferred flowers
Without your explanation I would not have understood the crop.
What do you think of this?
We can photo-shop them, I liked your version also Ken
Why not everyone come-up with their versions , Will be awesome learning procedure , Do share your work-flow also, Ken & Steve , Can you share your work-flows please
in OP I have done levels and sharpening and in my re-post I have adjusted EXPOSURE to -0.3
PS , If anyone wants large file, shoot me your e-mail ID in PM![]()
Harshard,
I think either Ken's or Stave's posts work.
Hi Harshad, sorry for the delay. I think if this was to be done it should be in General photography/Workflow rather than here, as I am sure others might benefit too and 'chip' in.
From a personal POV I find that no two images are the same in processing and that everyone works differently in how they process. I am no PS wizard, unlike some who really know thier stuff ie Chas or Robert. My philosophy is simple Harshad, endevour to get it right in camera, and keep processing down to a minimum. Recently I have seen some cracking images that with a quick few tweaks the image IMHO is there, if you have the right content then you should have a winner & try to avoid heavy cropping, but I know you do.
I use minimal software, but may vary the RAW converter ie Capture One Pro, ACR, or Canon's own DPP similar to Nikon.
I would love/relish to be given the opportunity to review some of your Tiger cub files, but sadly I am not going to be able to do anything for the next month and I know they cannot go via email, perhaps we can talk about it next month. Might be good to give three people & see their results and the variations too.
Going back to your image, all I did was Exposure -40 Gamma 0.95, Brightness & Luminosity layer I think, as it was for me to see and flattened all layers, rather than to be posted, by error.
Think this might have hi jacked your Valentine's day, sorry.

Whatever your chosen comp, you got the client happy.
Beautiful image Harshad.
nice informative thread - thanks for the wishes Harshad, and nice image too (congrats on the sale!)
I like the pose and that there's still some life shining in the eyes, guessing the sun was getting high here?
Well done Harshad. Comp choice works well for the need of the client. Good looking cat.
Here is my re-post addressing Kens request. Will remove if requested.

Lots to be gained from this thread, hi-jacked or not. Some great information … thanks Harshad for providing the initial image.![]()
Todd,
Thanks for this.
I think the flowers are a little "distracting" and the "manipulation" is just noticeable![]()
