    Hilary,

Good use of the side-light to bring our the details in the hide. For me, I would have liked to see the feet and more room on top, or go vertical and concentrate on the head.

Thanks Robert, I have attached a vertical crop, I don't have the feet in the original. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

Love the light on this one Hilary. I'm leaning a bit toward the op as the re-post seems a bit tight. Nice sharpness. Well done.

The light is wonderful on this, just a pity that you did not go wider or portrait, something that I get wrong a lot of the time.

I think I prefer the OP.

Thanks for the comments. Sometimes when trying to compose in camera, it is easy to make misjudgements, however, it is a skill I think is worth perfecting and one day the % of success will hopefully go in my favour.

Love the lighting here Hilary, bringing out the detail in the hide, would be happy with either crop.

Hi Hilary, prefer the re post, both both show the great texture & detail of this great beast.

    Killer light.

Thank you Marc, Vivaldo and Steve. One of the very few occasions when I did get some good early light. Oh well, I'll just have to go back soon!

Another vote for a vertical crop but otherwise just perfect. Excellent detail.
