    Default WTK landing

Another kite shot I took with Doug last fall, you really need a LOT of reach for these guys, thanks to Doug for letting me use the 600.

Love the wingspread and eye contact. Looks perhaps just a tiny bit washed out on my monitor.

    Well done!!

Awesome pose with great eye contact. You did pretty well with the 600! ISO 1600 is a breeze for the Mark IV, especially with a white bird and good light. The choice to stop down to f/11 by bumping the ISO definitely enhanced your image quality.

Brilliant where it neeeds to be be .... wing position , eye contact . I feel some more space and maybe a horizontal crop would make this image better.

Thanks for nice comments, Rakesh a horizontal crop will kill this image IMO, you want some porpotions in your composition so when the bird is posing tall you wanna go vertical.

Good diagonal composition. The wing near breast might be a bit too bright, consider darkening it a little.

Chris, it is not too bright, it is the natural color of this specie, it is completely white if I darken it, it will no longer resemble the real bird, you also need a good calibrated monitor to see the full dynamic range in the whites, most laptop screens can't :)

Alright. I was speaking to the point from where my eye was getting drawn to.

Arash, good underwing detail, and I like the pose with the upturned wing. Comp works well too.

Lovely capture, detail and exposure spot on. Vertical crop is definitely the way to go, but a little more room on the left wouldn't hurt. If this image were mine, I would clone out the vertical branch that extends to the level of the bird's head. My eye is drawn to that branch, and it ends up competing for attention with the bird itself.
