    Had to do my best screech owl whistle to call this guy out into the open on a sub zero cloudy morning.

    I second Dan's comments. I really like how you framed the owl in that cavity. It is amazing how nature can provide such perfect camo. Very well done.

    Wonderful shot Jim. Its eyes are kind of sage colored....beautiful. This is my favorite in a long time of this species. I think I especially like it because it is so sharp and crisp. Also, I see some subtle colors on the owl I hadn't noticed before. Thanks.

    Good image. Perhaps explore darkening the hole to add a bit more contrast. It may make the image "pop" more.
