I was sorting through my old images from 2005, when I was managing a camp in the Okavango. I was still on my first DSLR and my 100-400 workhorse. During my time off, I would head back out in to the bush and stay with other companies.
I enjoyed looking back and seeing how my style has developed.
This was also before the wet cycle and larger floods started to affect the region. Around the this time, the Kwando River was dredged by the Botswana Govnt, which helped increase the flow rate.
The area is now under water. It is an meeting ground between the Selinda and Kwando Concession, just below twin pools.

keep digging through those old files because this one is stunning! What gorgeous light falling on the cheetah's face. Very nice composition and pose. Cheers.
Russell, Great pose and light. To correct the color cast do this.
PS Work flow:
Selective Color: Remove magenta from magenta channel
Hue/Saturation: Desaturate magenta 100%, and some yellow and red saturation to get the nice golden light back.
