    Hi all,

This abstract was created early last week from the sun setting behind a forest near Tsurui, Hokkaido, Japan. One of my very few attempts to make blurs so far.

    Thanks, JR

Joerg, I love the abstract look to this. I'd like to see the bottom half just a little lighter (not much) - I think you'd see a little more of the trunks and light shining through.

Joerg, I think it is a great first blur. It does have some interest and I like the vertical lines. I'm not sure I like the placement of the bright area. Maybe a small crop from the right and bottom. I usually have to make a boat load of blurs to get one keeper.

Hi JR, I think the blur worked nicely. I think your composition works with the sun in the center as an abstract, gives it an interesting symmetry.

    Kerry & Denise,

Thank you for your feedback. I find it interesting of course that you both take opposing views about the placement of the sun in the center.

The one thing I wish I had done was to slap the 1.4TC on and make the sun bigger in the frame. Well, next time. JR
