    Default White-Tailed Eagle

This White-Tailed Eagle was photographed early last week at the Akan International Crane Center near Akan, Hokkaido, Japan.

I've eliminated some birds from the lower left and right edges which were cut-off. Wish I had the birds in the background full in the frame. Hope it still works for you.

    Thanks, JR

Agree with your self-assessment John, but you've still got yourself a really nice frame. Habitat, prey, and of course a cool Eagle! Exposure and sharpness look excellent. I only wish that the bird's bill didn't merge with its body.

What a super-shot!. I like that I can see some other birds in the OOF BG. The glint in his eye--very good.

Excellent capture here Joerg, and just love the detail and sharpness. I would crop off from the bottom to eliminate the lower birds, and then clone out the neck and head of the taller bird. Something like this.In hindsight, I should have maybe extended the canvas below.

Beautiful Eagle Joerg, the white tail shows up well and great detail in the plumage with excellent full wing spread. The image is good as both an environmental and eagle portrait, like them both.

    Joerg, What a great shot.
Love the background, and such a beautiful subject! Sharpness, HA and light all came together.
I like both your version and Stuart's re-work.

Great shot. I like more the re-post without birds in the background.

Wow. Thanks so much for editing the image. It looks so much better without the birds in the background. I'll have to try myself. JR

Outstanding image Joerg. I like both comps, with a slight edge to Stuarts re-post. Good exposure and sharpness. Well done.

Excellent shot. The eagle is just clear of the cranes, making everything neat and clean.
