Hello everyone. I was able to capture this wonderful bird as the sun was going down. Hope you enjoy. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 200-400 f4 w/1.7 tc, Exposure - 1/125, Aperture - f6.7, ISO - 1250, Focal lenght 500mm, Aperture Priority.
I like this image,,, but I think that there is something different on this site. There looks like there has been some loss of detail from the version I saw previously.
I might think about cloning out the point where the twig exits the bottom of the frame, I am sure others will disagree with me! I really like the background - creamy smooth colors that really compliment the bird.

lovely bird - and that background is incredible. lovely colors with the bird. Would like to see the other version Alex mentions, a little more detail/sharpness would be nice.
Robert- Beautiful warm tones and a great bird that sadly rarely comes east! The landscape crop is an interesting if unusual choice. I see the logic with having to show the whole left side of the perch. I can see some softness and noise in the original post and suspect a large crop may be the cause (?). If so I would loosen up a bit and then try a round of sharpening. The original did not hold up well to more sharpening in the repost. The other thing I'll mention is head angle, which you hear a lot about here at BPN. It is a crucial concept that separates good bird images from great ones. In this case the bird needs a few degrees turn CCW past the point where the head axis is parallel to your sensor.
