    This picture was taken at an Alan Murphy Workshop on Roma Texas. Nikon D3s Nikon 70-200 f 2.8 with 1.4x TC, 1/5000 sec f 5 ISO 800 some adjustment in LR and Cropped

    sent from Midway Airport Chicago while waiting for my 2.5 hour delayed flight

    pose, wing position and eye contact are excellent, but the bird is pretty soft and the BG looks grainy.

    Just a super pose Myer! Laptop processing can lead to soft images. I'd like to see a repost after processing on your desktop.

    Others have pointed out the bird is a bit soft.

    Congrats on the capture. I have a devil of a time with moving songbirds. Were you manually focused at a set distance or did you try to get an autofocus point on him?

    Thanks everyone for their suggestions I am going to work on the image now that I am back home and have the full potential of LR and PS I only use my laptop on trips to download images and preview them

    I was manually focused on a set point between perches that Alan Murphy set up and fired with a hand held trigger as soon as the bird leaped. I got a lot of half birds, but it was an interesting experience. You need a fast camera. My D3s fires at 9 fps but I missed a lot of shots

    nice pose. these type of shots are always a hit and miss affair,
