    Default Winter Abstract

Another one from last weekend in Ontario's Muskoka Region. I was drawn to the shadows of the trees on the snow on this small hillside.

    Look forward to comments.

Wow! I'm not usually especially drawn by abstracts, but this one is just awesome! I love the composition of diagonal lines with the curve at the bottom, and also the little sparkles in the snow. Very well done!

Andrew, I love the colors and the soft twinkling of the snow. I am debating the bottom - but the rest is fantastic to me.

Hi Andrew, this reminds me of being inside a wave - not that I've ever been there... Nice colors and I like the sparklies too. The texture makes me think of a chalk rendition.

Much thanks for comments Denise, Christopher and Kerry, very much appreciated.

Denise, I was also unsure about the curved slope at the bottom so I made sure to shoot one without too. I'll try to post tomorrow for comparison.

Andrew, this looks great! The colors, diagonal lines and the curve at the bottom are a perfect combo! IMHO, you need more of that bottom area or less of the top diagonal lines to balance this out.

Thanks Ken, funny you should suggest that. Before posting I did play around with adding canvas on the bottom and cropping some off the top. I guess I'll go back and create an alternate version with you suggestions too. Much thanks.

This is a nice combination of colors and shapes. I really like the curve at the bottom.
