    Default Jackal pup

With all the cute cub shots posted recently, it brought back fond memories spent with two Jackal pups. The girl was more shy, staying in the den, only venturing out occasionally, but the boy was quite content to play & just watch, whilst Mum & Dad foraged. Taken in the Mara.

Oh well, I'll just have to find someting else for today's post.

Goes without saying that it would have been nice to have moved to your left to eliminate the partial grass covering on the face, always cute.

My eyes must be bad today, I couldn't see the 6th cheetah cub of Marc's and I can't see any grass on this jackal's face. Some by the ear and neck but not the face. Not a good day.

The IQ here is excellent and I like the way the jackal is peering through the grass. Interesting juxtapositioning of the legs but hard to make out whether there is a hind leg coming forward or front legs crossed. I really like jackals and have a few prepared to post but none of any young, sadly.

Like the dof, all round very nice.

I could not see the 6th Cheetah either, but I can see grass crossing the mouth, I always thought this was a part of the face. Perhaps I should have said face neck and ear

Please accept my apologies for any confusion caused by my less than adequate description.

Yep Dumay, we tend to call them cubs here, but it should be pup, correction made, many thanks.

Steve - great IQ. Personally I probably would not have known he was a pup rather than adult without you mentioning it.

Nice portrait of this little one Steve. Agree with Ken on the move to the left, not always a possibility as I well know. Techs are right on. Well done.
