I am loving behind the scene ( flowers may be) concept here Hilary ,

certainly out-of-the-box here Hilary! I am wondering whether you shouldn't pursue creating something even more OOTB out of this?
I like the concept, but I'm sure many won't! :D
I am sure lots will love it, but quite frankly it does nothing for me, but then I have no artistic tendencies.![]()
Hi Hilary
Not really working for me either, as the focus & sharpness is on the flowers rather than the subject, plus the placement in frame too. I know you like to explore and challenge new ways, but perhaps as Morkel said, it might be worth posting in OOTB and get a different POV.
Whilst you were there did you get any flamingos?

Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
What about the Black Rhino?Originally Posted by Steve Kaluski

Thanks everyone, interesting comments and I appreciate the honesty. Sometimes I feel very much in the wrong place as this is probably one of my favorite images from the whole trip. No flowers, just seed heads reflecting light. Focus intentionally on grass to try and give sense of jackals camouflage and slight mystery. I need to reassess my direction.
Ken, I saw a lot of white rhinos in Lake Nakuru, but despite the numbers I didn't find any black rhinos. I will try to process some in the next few days and post something.
Very nice image Hilary, for me the artistic aspect trumps sharp focus on the Jackals. IMHO this would make an awesome large canvas, maybe as Morkel mentioned go a bit farther with water color or oil painting treatment. Very nice.
