    This started out with just the egret's eye, using multiple flips, polar coordinates, color adjustments, some experimentation with various filters and then went from there. The intent was to show a protected environment surrounded by a harsher world, with the egret peering out.

    Very cool Maureen. It does look like some kind of protective stellar embryo, and also like a giant eye! Looks like you are having fun creating and experimenting.

    Maureen, Very creative and fun. I like how you placed the egret's head coming out of the center.

    Hi Maureen, this is very different and interesting. It looks like blown glass art to me. If it were mine I would probably paint out the seam in the center. I like your different approaches to the re-create theme.

    Hi Maureen, this is very clever and creative! Brendan's description fits it perfectly!

    I agree with Kerry about the center line. Removing that will definitely take this one up a notch or 2.
