    One of the more co-operative birds at the Sheffield Mills Eagle Festival, Nova Scotia, last weekend. Most of the birds in the area just sat around in the trees all day.

    D300, 300 f/4 AF-S +1.4TC.

    ISO800, 1/2500, f/9.0

    Horizontal crop from above, slight blur to bg.

    very nice! like the flying angle in the frame, tail flare and the head turn. Simply beautiful against the blue background.

    Nice angle of the bird and the head turned towards you. I think the background is a little low contrast, especially w/ the quality of light on the bird.

    Excellent study of the bird. Your blur method has created a bit of noise in the bg and that halo Arash mentioned. Was it so bad that it needed blurring?

    Lovely incoming flight pose Richard, very sharp with great detail and eye contact, love the fanned tail. I like the BG as is but agree with some NR and would consider more room at the bottom.
