It looks like a Palm Warbler in non-breeding plumage. Are you guessing Yellow-rumped Warbler because the undertail coverts (not seen in this shot) were yellow? (If so - they would be yellow on a Palm Warbler, but white on a Yellow-rumped Warbler - go figure...)

I will do more research but initially I believe Jeff is right, Palm Warbler - winter plumage. This is a medium migrant and winters in the south and often seen in marshes.

    There are two subspecies:
    (1) Easter form - strong washed yellow underparts
    (2) Western form - whitish underparts with stronger streaking

Definitely Palm Warbler. Palms do show a yellowish rump, but it is not as intense and pure as Yellow-rumped (hence the name, I guess ). As Jeff noted, they also show yellow undertail coverts.

The darkish line through the eye, pale supercilium, capped look, and lack of wingbars also favor Palm over Yellow-rumped.

I agree with palm warbler. In the field, you can often see them pumping their tails. While not completely diagnostic, I think it's a great behavioral identifier of this bird.
