    Hi Nico,

Well done for capturing the bird in flight with a fish in its bill. Good wing position. But to me the image looks slightly soft and noisy. 1/3200 should have stopped the action, but - and I'm not familiar with the Canon 450D - is ISO1600 usually OK? Was it much of a crop?

I like the capture, in full stroke upwards. Icing on the cake would have been with the fish head on camera taking side.

you got the great pose and the wish, but I have to agree that the image quality has suffered from noise/crop.

Oh, we have those pieds over here! Thanks for the reminder that I have to add those guys to my collection soon. . . My concerns echo Richard's. There is a softness and lack of immediacy to the shot that may be the result of a heavy crop. The action however does add life to the image.

Nice action capture Nico, not every day one gets the chance. Good comments above to work with.

Agree with the above comments, but I love the wing position and the fish.
