It seems that maybe Lion numbers in the Savute maybe on their way up, after the disintegration of the famous Elephant killing pride.

This was one of two youngsters who were with their mum and one other female with two other youngsters less than a year old.

Grass and shrubbery made finding a reasonably good opening difficult. Crpped to avoid rubbish.

Taken on Savute Marsh, Chobe National Park, Botswana

Ken - another cutie. Great eye contact and peeking out of the foliage image.

    Let's hope so.
Wouldn't have been difficult, as our last trip thru Savuti marsh 16 months ago we didn't spot a single lion.

Thanks to everybody for your comments.

The best thing about this is the fact that the cubs are back, areas always take a big hit after the break up of a dominant pride, but then they always come back.

nice portrait here Ken - you handled the busy surroundings well
what about some selective lightening and use of the S/H tool to get more out of the face?

    Morkel,

I really do not like to use S/H, as I feel it generally gives an unnatural look.

It was dark under those bushes
