Hi - Thanks for sharing - never seen one of these guys before :)
Just a little too close here - clipping the tail in the bottom corner - General rule of thumb is that if something is worth including - it is worth including all of it. Of course rules are made toi be broken - but best to understand the rule to start with.
Sharpness, Exposure and detail all look good - just the composition needing a little work.
Lance,
i am knew about basic rules. I want to say, that moment is very interesting.
About clipping the tail in the bottom corner - i agree, but i can't to get anoter photo.
Anyware, thank you for you advices :)
Vlad, he's a beautiful bird and you did a nice job getting him in focus. I also like that he's got that pinecone in his mouth - not something we see very often!
I do agree with Lance that his tail being cut off deters from the strength of the image. I also think if this were mine I'd clone out some of the extra branches - especially the OOF one that runs behind his body.
Be sure to watch those backgrounds, too! That large blue "blob" on the right could have been avoided with a slight shift in position. Always keep one eye on the focal point of the image and one eye on the BG/FG so you make the most of each image!
Good try and definitely some good things going on here.
