    Default Oak Tree and Snowfall

It snowed today! I took this photo not long after the snow started, from a distance, the trees are at the back of the lot. I liked the look and colors of the leaves and sky after using Topaz Clean and Adjust and I added a bit more snow.

God that looks cold, I would have thought that Mississippi would be getting rain, brrr. The oak leaves and angle of the snow really add to this... so nice wintery scene ...can't wait for spring.

    Judy,

I love this image... it is one of those that fooled me with the thumbnail as it quite stunning in its larger size. It has a 3d effect as the leaves seem to stand away from the background. Beautifully done.

Nice wintery feel to this Judy, the light touch of Topaz works well.

Judy, The image has a wonderful 3D look to it. I love the way the snow looks and the leaves look great. I might evict the sharp tiny branch in the URC if it were mine. Nicely done.

Thanks everyone! We got 4" of snow at my house! You will be seeing more of them, I was out most all day taking pictures! And it was very cold - my fingers even in gloves with just a few figertips exposed nearly froze and snow went down in my high-tops and got my socks wet at the end of the outing, thank goodness. I don't have any snow boots since I'd only need them once or twice every 20 yrs!

Hi Judy, nice job of telling the story of this one. The last remaining leaves that held out to the bitter end are getting a nice dusting of snow. I like the filter work and the very simple color palette. I must say, however, that of all things I miss about Indiana, snow is not one of them! Good thinking to add some snow.

Judy, I love this image, the dried oak leaves hanging in the snow storm are very lovely and add to the cold feeling. Love it!

Thanks Kerry, Steve and Andrew! Yes snow is a rare treat for us especially more than an inch and so pretty to look at, but it's a mess when it melts and I sure wouldn't want to live in snow country, especially this year!
