    Probably should have added - Eye-Level to the title. Taken this morning in rather bright light - always a challenge with these guys.
    Essentially full frame - cropped only on the sides.

    Great IQ and flighting pose, they are so similar to our fish eagle and are really great subjects to photograph TFS

    I appreciate the details in the head and in most of the blacks--with the exception of the black hole on the left wing. I'm supposing there was no way to coax any detail out of there. The eagle's also about to skim the bottom edge.

    Thanks all for taking the time to comment, and thanks for the help and encouragement.

    Craig, I can try to bring out the dark area of the left wing. Since the image is full frame vertically,
    I didn't have much choice framing wise, although I could add some canvas. Thanks for the suggestions.

    Thanks very much for commenting, Kiran. I agree, the blue water background really did help. I was lucky
    to have a vantage point where I was looking down a bit at the bird - a rare happening for me.
