Morning temps again dropped to -30F, plus added wind chill...Brrrrrrr!

This was the biggest bison I have seen in YNP in years. And, what a hair doo!

    Chas...still in YNP

Chas - great detail and love the snow covered look with just the eyes and nose peeking through. Well done.

    Me too!

    Raised foot is great.

Any ideas as to how they get rid of the snow around their eyes?

Excellent, also like this. This type image is so different to what we are used to. The snow give the image a great mood TFS

I think the snow melts when it is on the eyes. Their fur is such a great insulator that it allows the snow to remain & allows moisture to condense on the fur & freeze—a process called sublimation.

A truly beautiful image. The raised hoof is a big plus.

You can really feel the cold! Like the detail in the bison and the snow on the head.

Looks great and the texture looks spot on...Never seen one before but thats what I imagine the textures to look like...Looks like a snow monster, if I saw one coming for me I would sure get a fright and I face Lions, Elephants, Rhinos and Hippos on a daily basis....Fantastic image

I like the textures and soft feel to this razor sharp image. Thanks for sharing.
