The weather in SW Michigan has been unfavorable for shooting lately so I thought I would share one from last fall.

    7D, f/6.3, 1/250, iso 250, 500 mm + 1.4 TC.

Thanks for looking, appreciate the comments

Gary, love it!!! Perhaps a bit tight for me on the right, however your title, and comp, make it a winner for me!!! My inlaws live in Holland, i need to get up there, and go capture some of these Ducks!! I need to look ya up the next time i'm up north!
    Congrats..

Not only a gorgeous image, Gary, but a priceless caption!. I agree it is a bit tight on the right - maybe add a bit of canvas to balance out the composition. Great colors and detail.

Very nice. Needs a bit more room on the right IMO.

Very appealing image. The turtle needs equal time. Give it to him by opening up right.

That's being in the right place at the right time.. great image. Love the golden light. As it's been said, a tad more room for the turtle. All in all a great shot.

I agree about space on the right but also want to note very nice shooting angle, beautiful background, and yes, priceless caption.

Wonderful capture: colors, poses, detail, low angle, and title. Ditto above comments.

    Gary:

I thought it was pretty funny when I saw it live, and this image brings back good memories.
Good shooting angle, watercolor, like the foot wrapping around the log.

There is a clone mark on the top of the log at the extreme right edge, where you probably removed the tail of the next turtle up the line.

Hope to do it again this year.

    Cheers

Thanks Randy, your memory is too good. I am looking forward to shooting these again also. A clone mark? Maybe I need to see an eye doctor
