    I haved looked and looked in iBird and Audubon for the bird on the bottom left with the yellow and I cannot find anything that matches. These birds visit my feeders in NE Texas. Photo taken 2/5/11. Thanks!!

    Barry: This appears to be a male goldfinch molting from his winter, nonbreeding colors to his breeding colors. Our MD birds look just like this now at our feeders.

    Nice action shot Barry! The yellow bird looks to me like a molting male American Goldfinch. The bright white wingbars are the basis of my guess.

    Thank you guys! Now that you tell me what it is I see the resemblance in iBird. I can't tell you how long I searched and probably never would have noticed this molting color. Thanks again!!

    One more vote for American Goldfinch. FYI, the sparrows are Chipping Sparrows.

    Agree with Paul - nice action shot Barry. With the spring coming they should spring up everywhere.
