    Default Pintail Triad

Brigantine, last Friday. I liked the way these three Pintails composed themselves in the frame. Unfortunately I wish I could have had a little more SS. I don't mind a bit of wing blur sometimes in a flight shot, but this is too much for my taste. Comments appreciated.

    Hi Bill,

This is a fascinating shot and I was happy to see you had the presence of mind to nail them with that f/8 aperture. I would have left mine on f/4 and "wished" afterward. You are right that they presented themselves in an interesting composition. I was just discussing pintails with a friend and detailing my plans to go find some. Great image.

Wonderful composition. I like the graphic quality. As mentioned DOF is just right.

Bill, beautiful shot. I like the comp and HA is almost perfect of all the three birds. TFS.

Lovely composition of this Trio and great work on the DOF. Love the splash left by the flying Pintail but would wish for a bit more room on the right.

Thank you all for the comments. Pieter, I could imagine a slivver more room on the right, and maybe an equal amount off of the left. No extra canvas on the right, but wouldn't be too difficult to add. Thanks for the suggestion.
