    Some prey items, such as this baby channel catfish, require considerable care, and time, for birds to swallow without being hurt by the very sharp side fins. This allows more time for the photographer, as opposed to other fish that disappear quite quickly.Comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

    Very nice, Bill. I like the soft color of the BG water, the raised foot pose, the sliver of beach and of course the prey in the open bill. Nice detail on the bird.

    Hi Bill - noticing a bit of a theme with some of your current images with strong diagonal lines :)
    Has been working quite well in many of your images - different but can make for a striking image.
    Lots to like here. Love the light airy feel.
    Feels just a tad tight at the top for my tastes.
    Nice!
