    Default Ruby Red Hearts

Ruby, Gold and Emerald from the Far East… end of my home.
Started in CS5 with smoke image -- flip, 6 layer rotation, copy layer and shift a few pixels right and down, blend for an embossed look and emerald/gold colors. Create 6 ruby segments with polygonal lasso, layer style, gradients and add hearts and blend. Lighting effects in CS5. BG layer with radial gradient. Color adj. and shading in LR.
    All C&C welcome.

That is great Steve! Such an amazingly intricate and symetrical design. Love the metalic look, the ruby is a great touch, and like the glowing red BG. It looks like an ancient amulet, that could also be used as shuriken! Very creative and nicely done.

Super image Steve! This should be submitted to a jeweler to have one made of metal and stone. I like the added bonus of the hearts in the middle of the "ruby". Well done!

Imaginative and well done. The hearts a a nice touch. My favorite part is the way the red center radiates a lovely illuminated color from the center.

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the comments. Fun to think of new things to do with smoke.

Very cool image, Steve! I find it absolutely amazing that you could create such a beautiful jewelery-like pattern from a smoke image. Excellent work!!
