    This Aplomado falcon belongs to a good falconer friend of ours. I apologize for not being able to crop in more, as this chase happened very far off. I know it's not the best image, but I just wanted to share the action with everyone! The jesses and telemetry were cloned out.

    BTW, the falcon was victorious! Thanks for looking!

    Canon 40d, Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x
    1/3200s @ f/5.6, ISO 400, 840mm
    Gitzo carbon fiber tripod, Wimberley head

    It may be a large crop but for the most part it's held it's own....but oh, if you'd only been closer. This is a wonderful action image.....and can only imagine what the next few seconds entails. Well done.
