This was taken at the pond behind my house last month. I often see a lot of the common waders, but its more unusual to have the storks feeding here. Early morning light. Canon 5D, 1/800, f/5.6, 100-400 mm zoom at 400. Thanks for looking.

Outstanding image Cindy! Love the details present in this image. Sweet bg to go with it. Nice use of diagonals with this comp.

Excellent Woodie Cindy. These birds are tough with the whites and dark heads. You have done great job with exc.. details and lighting!

Very nice photo, and quite sharp for a 100-400 shot wide open. Good job with the exposure too.

Very eye-catching image, Cindy. Beautiful light on the head and beak, excellent sharpness, and a great background. My only small nit is that I wish the head was turned a couple of degrees toward you. If it was mine, I might experiment with cropping a little off the right and bottom.

Very nicely done Cindy; especially when you have the white and black tones together. Love the composition, background rich blue color and the details that stand out on your bird...:)

Only a better head turn would improve this. Excellent details, and the light looks great. The 100-400 is quite under-rated for it's IQ sometimes .

Very nice work, Cindy. I really like the lighting, composition, and background. I can only echo the sentiment of everyone else, a bit of a head turn would make a world of difference.
