Hi everyone,
I took up photography about 7 years ago when my son was born and I bought my first non-point and shoot, a Nikon D70. I was immediately amazed and gratified at the images I was taking and decided that if I was to have a serious hobby, this was it. Over the last few years I have shot mainly motorcycle road-racing for a regional organization in Texas, but also dabbled in nature photography. Last year Arthur Morris came to Little Rock to speak. He gave such a great lecture he reminded me that although I have learned a lot over the years there is much more to be learned. His ability to capture his subjects inspired and motivated me. I still shoot bikes, but now my real passion is birds. I am really looking forward to being a member here at BPN and learning from you all.
Barry, it's great to have you with us! Birds can certainly become an addiction! If you feel pretty accomplished then head on over to the Avian forum and get posting. If you still feel you have some things to learn, we'd love to see you post in the Eager to Learn forum.
Welcome to BPN. Nice to hear you have an interest in bird photography. That is my passion, although I enjoy other nature photography as well. You will find much educational inforation throughout the forums.
