    Default L&D 14 Eagle

    Hello,

The image was taken during the "golden hour" at L&D 14, Le Claire, IA, just before sunset.

    I used a 7D and the 400 5.6. 1/3200 f7.1 ISO 800

    Crop down to 12 mp.

    Thanks for any comments.

    Paul

This is really nice! Would consider cropping off the top to make it a pano.

agree with ofer about a more pano crop.

The water in the background is not as interesting as the water with the ice in the forground.

Congrats on getting the action shot! Did you manage to get any frames prior to this one as the bird was about the strike the water?

Thanks Ofer. That is a great suggestion. There is quite a bit of space below and above.

Thanks Tom. The ice would be more interesting. Paul

    Mark,

I think I did, but the wing positioning wasn't the greatest or it was out-of-focus, so I deleted it. Everything happened very quickly.

Great action and great focus.... the head may be a tad bright.
