I wanted to start off with a very simple line drawing so I used Topaz Simplify and used mono edge with luminosity blend. I then used Nik Bi-color filter twice and a glass filter. Then I took it into DAP and used Benson to bring some detail back in. I added a texture overlay to give the illusion of underwater for the bg and then dup layer multiply to add some more color.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Cheryl, I think you did a great job blending the multiple filters. I wonder if the original eye would give some pop to this image.

Very creative use of filters Cheryl! I really like the soft textures and colors you created in the BG. I think Denise makes a good suggestion regarding highlighting the eye.

Cheryl, I like the outline of the bird and the different painterly looks of the background and bird. Good use of filters to get your desired effect! I agree that the eye could use a bit of boost.

Very nice filter combo, Cheryl! The painterly textures in the bird and BG are beautiful, and I like the heavy outline. One more vote for boosting the eye a little.

The overall look is really nice....adding the outline was a stroke of genius! Here's another vote for a bit of eye work.

I really like your post title!
