    Image from last summer.

    D300, 500mm + TC x1.7, ISO400, 1/400 sec, f/8, exposure bias -1 ev

Linear burn and some cloning to minimize the specular highlights, H/S, increasing the vibrance on the green water, curves etc.

Planning to print on canvas which I believe needs a bit extra in the colors but might be a bit over the top for screen?!?

    C&C welcome as usual!!!

Gorgeous. Maybe try to tone down the tiny white spots on the bill and forehead, a the brightness on the flanks. I might also crop the bottom to just nip out the bottom reflection. It's much weaker than the other reflections and I don't think it adds anything.

Hi Svante- a superb bird! Love the colours! Angle is not super-low but fine for this image I think, as you get a good dose of the beautiful BG. Agree with Paul that the reflection is not strong enough to warrant inclusion. Maybe take some off the bottom and add a bit to the top if possible. The main issue you had working against you here was harsh light, which creates deep shadows and bright highlights. Best way to avoid this is look out the window and stay inside if it looks too harsh!

Beautiful duck and great results in what looks like harsh light. I like the green color of the water as is.
I agree about the cropping mentioend by others.
