    Default Tricolored heron fract

I'm going to have to dig deep for something red. In the interim, here is a tricolored heron, I used Fractalius with luminosity blend, Nik skylight and usm.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions always appreciated

Cheryl; I like it alot, The high-key, composition, subtle frac treameant, and the use of the very thin border.
    Good job! regards~Bill

Beautiful image. love the high key feel. Might try to sharpen the head just a bit.

Cheryl, I love the muted colors and just a hint of water surface. Lovely feel and look overall. I think Joe has a good suggestion about sharpening the head and eye a bit. I think this would give the image a stronger visual anchor. Very pretty.

    Cheryl,

I love the pose of the heron along with the high key and fratalius effect. I don't mind the head and eye as they are as it fits with the rest of the image. The subtle water is a nice touch. Beautifully done.

Hi, Great Shot. I immediatly went to the Fractalius site site to download the demo version but can't get it to show up in my filter menu (CS4). Is there a secret to getting this installed? Thank you.

Excellent one, Cheryl. Love the hk effect here. The fract on the tricolored is very nice. Nicely done.

Cheryl...nice work, its neat to see these Herons running around in shallow water, wings open, trying to scare up some food. I think overall the image gives the eye a sense of bluriness (wow made up a new word ) due to movement. Very well done

Dick, Hi! I think you'll get the info you need here in Denise's blog. I have Elements so I can't be much help. I think Kerry or Indranil could give you words of wisdom also.
Good luck - I hope we see some of your Fract work here soon

Cheryl, the treatment you used looks great! I don't know that extra sharpening on the head is necessary because I love the overall soft feeling but you might try to brighten the area around the eye.

Since you said you needed to dig up something red, I thought I'd offer this option.

Very nice Cheryl, I also like the hint of water surface that melts into BG. Good composition.

Dick, it only works with 32bit CS4; not sure if you are using 64bit. If you have both versions installed try starting 32bit CS4. Also, exit CS4 and restart if it were running while installation was on. This typically get installed in \program files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Redfield and should show-up under Redfield in Filter dropdown.
