Hi Michael, nice cardinal - they sure do have a brilliant red. I grew up with these birds in Indiana but sadly they don't come out west...
Nice work with Simplify. This is one of my favorite treatments. I believe that shots like this work better when captured as a vertical in the camera. For this one, I would crop quite a bit from the right side as the negative space is behind the bird. Nice work and thanks for sharing!

Wow, that is red! Nice touch with Topaz. Like the slight diagonal of perch and crop makes for a nice composition.

Michael, Great suggestion by Kerry and I love your take on the theme! Red Cardinals are at my back door each morning waiting for their sunflower seeds!! Simplify was a great choice for this image.Very nice pose.
