Macro IOTW Dave Leroy for week ending 1/28/2011- Tulip

Congratulations Dave Leroy for your image "Tulip" being chosen as the Macro Image of the Week for the week ending 1/28/2011!!!

I took this the other day in my office. Natural light from left and light bulb on right.

The bg to right of flower was actually brownish but I used it to set a black point.

7D, 100mm macro and 25mm ET, 1.6 sec, f/16 ISO 400.

Photo is a bit DOF challenged. It made me wonder about using micro adjust to try from some back focusing as one possible solution.

Thanks Steve for the recognition. It is always nice, appreciated and encouraging to receive.

No disrespect to the others that also posted very nice and credible photos, but we really need to get more posters than a few and the mods.

As you may know macro is a very interesting and fun way to explore photography and the natural world around us.

I am really looking forward to spring, bugs, flowers and more postings from others.
