    Hi Everyone,
This was taken at Little Estero Lagoon last November in bright light. I felt that this
gave the image the feeling of a mirage - especially with the OOF figure in the BG
    1D3 300 f/2.8
    ISO 320
    f/4 1/1600
    Exp comp +2
Cropped for comp and lightened the bird a little.
    Look forward to your C & C's.
    Warm regards to all,
    Nicki

    Nicki:

Absolutely makes me think of a mirage.
The woman is blurry enough that she doesn't detract from the bird, but does add depth to the image and a bit of mystery too.

    Well done.

    Cheers

    Randy

Very nice Nicki, and good job managing with the bright light.

Loved the low angle the high key here. Cleverly composed with the body of the egret above the horizon line. Black legs add nice contrast.

Nicki; I'm glad to see you back. I really like the image, but most of all the background figure, OOF with just enough detail to make it recognizable as a person. Very cool. regards~Bill

WOW, love the back lit sky and the woman's clothing adds a nice contrast between everything. TFS

When I first saw the image I said wow.

Nice high key lighting! and the composition reminds me of something out of one of those magazines like National Geographic.

Hi Nicki, I thought I would revisit your image to see how others saw it, and am surprised that my comment has dissapeared.:2 I posted right after Randy. Oh well, here I go again. I really like the different shades of whites, and the yellow of the egrets bill, stands out nicely. Looking at the beach, I thought this needed a CCW rotation, but looking at your horizon, this is level. Well captured.
