    Dreary, rainy and overcast today. I was giving my poodle a ride in my truck and drove past this Osprey. Backed up a little for a few quickies and then backed up to this position for these images here. Turned off truck, steadied lens on door jam and window and fired away. Cant wait for better weather.
    Canon 40D, 100-400L @ 400mm
    1/160, f/7.1, ISO 250, S/H, noise red, and sharpened with small crop.

    Great high key image, Bill, the soft light makes for a pleasant soft contrast. Love the intensity of the stare.

    I like it too. Just wish the front branch wasn't touching the bird. A thin black line surrounding the image would make a huge difference (those always look great around high-key images)

    I agree with the comment about the branch, but this is a wonderful high-key image. Well done.

    Thanks, I always seem to have a branch showing somewhere. My luck has to change soon, I can feel it!. :)

    Very fine image Bill with excellent detail and the intense stare is a real bonus. I agree with the previous comments. Thanks for sharing Bill and I too hope your weather improves for you !!!

    I am not a PS guru but I always am wiling to give it a try. Did my best with removing the limb and also added a black outline!

    Love the improved image nice work. never been a fan of high key work but I am changing my mind.
