Default Tengmalm's Owl / Aegolius funereus

Found this little owl on the way home from gees hide very late in evening after sunset.

What a beautiful little Owl. A good shot in such low light. If it were mine I would remove that twig under the perch.

    Hello Agris,

I like the inquisitive look and the sideways posture of the bird. His interest in you makes us interested in him. If you are using flash a bit of fill-flash here would have made a big difference.

Also, moving left slightly would have moved the bright white spot in the upper left BG and branches away/out of image. Assuming of course of obstructions did not show up.

This owl is such a cutie-pie. I have a feeling he is even smaller than he appears in the picture. I love his look and you exposed well for him. I do agree with removing the bottom twig if you are okay with altering your images. I might consider cropping some off the top to alleviate some of the strong white BG in the upper left. Looking forward to seeing more of these.
