    Taken along the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach, VA. Sony A700, 70-400G @400mm, f8, 1/3200, iso400. PSE8, slight crop, some cleanup on beach, darken and reduce contrast in Bg, linear burn on a small portion of whites on bird, sharpen.

    Hi Peter:

    Nice to see you getting down nice and low to photograph your shorebirds. Your exposure looks good, you have a nice HA which shows off the bird well. I like your sand up there, which looks nothing like ours down here in Florida.

    I don't see any halos, but my eyes are telling me this may be a tad oversharpened. Let's let the other chime in on that point.

    I may be tempted to take a tad off the bottom and some off the right.

    very nice low angle and good exposure, I see some artifacts from over sharpening and horizon needs some rotation.

    Peter,

    The sharpening looks OK to me, but I have been accused of oversharpening on occasion.

    My preference on the BG horizon line would not have had it coincident with the beak tip and tail tip here.

    Good head-angle and nice light makes this a keeper.

    Very nice bird angle, low angle and environment. Exposure looks very good as well. A tad less sharpening will make it better.

    Great low angle and exposure. I love that bg. IMG have some great colours too
