Yes, nice reflection and I like the water trail behind the bird. Great smooth water elsewhere. I wish the catchlight was as nice as in the reflection, and the image needs a few degrees of CW rotation.

Beautiful reflection Allan. In fact the reflection looks like it is almost more sharp than the bird itself! I think that might be due to the catchlight in the eye of the reflection while there isn't one in the bird. The ripples add a great touch to the composition. Does the image need a bit of CW rotation?

A perfect reflection. Nice light, color and detail. Agree about the CW rotation. Also two tiny dark specks in the water in front of the bird. Great composition.

Glad to see you made it down safely, Allan. Your reflection actually looks even better than the bird itself. Look at that catch light in the reflection. Glad you were able to find some birds at MI.

Great reflection! and the ripples give a visual anchor. Agree it needs CW rotation and a catchlight.

Tried, out of curiosity, to rotate the image 1.5 degrees to the right and then flip the canvas vertically!

IMHO it looks more natural with the extra sharpness and the catch-light being on the 'upper' bird (even if it is not how it actually was in real life!)

When I work on it I will definitely add the catchlight.

I will add some rotation too, even though I *think* this is the way I saw it.

    Thanks for the comments.

Glad I made it here too. Weather back home is tough and there have been less birds around to since the fall.

Schmuck (Said with much affection :)

Looks like it could use a bit of CW rotation and just a tad bit of a head turn....but I am jealous for a number of reasons pal!
